Amber: Has long been associated with healing energy and mental stimulation, and is said to balance aggressive traits. Amber is traditionally paired with the planet Mercury.

Amethyst: Has long been believed to be enhance spiritual powers, relaxation, psychic abilities, and inner peace. Said to strengthen immunity, and purify the blood. Amethyst is generally associated with Jupiter.

Aventurine: Said to increase libido, confidence, and gratitude, promotes emotional tranquility and positive attitudes, while helping to release fear and anxiety. Adventurine is a wonderful stone to use daily, especially during meditation and prayer. It's normally associated with Venus and Uranus. The Chinese highly prized this stone, and held it in higher esteem than jade.

Black Onyx: Called the "secret keeper", onyx is said to absorb the thought and energy patterns around it, keeping a silent record of events, feelings, and memories. Onyx is associated with Saturn.

Black Star Diopside: Said to be useful when meditating to unlock the secrets that you hold deep within you and to reveal the mysteries of magic to your conscious mind.

Carnelian: Said to bring strength, protection, and determination, to promote peace and harmony, and dispel depression. Worn on the hand in ancient Egypt to still anger, jealousy, envy, and hatred. Carnelian is associated with Saturn.

Citrine: Said to stimulate memory, enhance creativity, and motivate writers, and may be worn as a protective talisman. A good healing stone, especially for digestion and toxicity. Symbolizes light-heartedness and joy. It's closely connected with Mercury.

Garnet: Said to encourage robust good health and sexual desire, enhance the wearer's imagination. Symbolizes fire, faith, courage, truth, grace, compassion, constancy and fidelity. One of the world's most ancient gems, garnet has been treasured for thousands of years. It has been worn throughout the ages for protection while traveling. Most often, Garnet is coupled with Mars.

Haematite: Said to be a good healing and grounding stone, it strengthens the body and improve resistantance to life's stresses. The ancient Egyptians used this stone to treat hysteria, reduce inflammation and as ornamental objects placed inside their tombs.

Iolite: The gemstone changes colors depending upon which angle it is viewed from. When the legendary Viking mariners sailed the wide ocean, they used thin pieces of iolite as the world's first polarizing filter. Looking through an iolite lens, they could determine the exact position of the sun, and navigate safely to the new world and back.

Jade: A relaxing, harmonizing, cooling stone said to stimulate profound thought and healing meditation. Jade is sometimes placed in the bathtub as a calming influence. Jade is an ancient love-attracting stone. Wearing the stone is believed to help kidney, heart, and stomach problems. Jade is associated with Venus or Neptune.

Lapis Lazuli: Said to increase psychic abilities, and be helpful to spiritual teachers. Traditionally believed to increase mental clarity, virility, and calm, to be powerful during meditation, and to help transcend trivia and move closer to higher consciousness. Lapis is normally associated with Neptune. Vivid blue, used since 1350 BC. Used by Egyptians for cosmetics and painting (the first blue eye shadow!) Was believed to be a sacred stone, buried with the dead to protect and guide them in the afterlife.

Malachite: Said to aid in the regeneration of body cells, creates calm and peace, clear subconscious blocks, and aids one's sleep. In the Middle ages, malachite was worn to protect from black magic and sorcery. A vivid green, used since 3500 BC for jewelry and cosmetics.

Moonstone: Named for its semblance in color to the moon. The goddess stone, believed to be protective for women and babies. It's also associated with the sea and planting cycles. Moonstone is said to symbolize the ancient Third Eye and guards against the Evil Eye, while clarifying spiritual understanding. Naturally, it's directly connected to the Moon. Peridot: It is gem quality olivine, a mineral that composes a lot of the earth's mantel. The crystalline gem is carried to the earth's surface by volcanoes. Peridot is believed to open up mental and emotional blocks, and to be a channeling stone. It's also thought to protect lungs, sinuses, and wrists from illness and injury. Peridot is ruled by Mercury. Quartz: Said to be a multi-purpose healing and purification stone. It's generally associated with Uranus.

Rainbow Moonstone: Stone has a rainbow-like array of colors and will pick up colors you wear.

Rose Quartz: Believed to promote peace, happiness, forgiveness, compassion, and fidelity, and to attract love, while clearing anger, resentment, fear and guilt.

Tiger's Eye: Said to offer protection, courage, energy, and luck. Roman soldiers wore tiger's-eye for protection in battle.

Turquoise: The Sky Stone. It has been highly valued by Native peoples, and is associated with earth wisdom, while opening the soul to ancient knowledge. It's said that Turquoise attracts healing spirits, making it a premier healing stone. It's associated with Venus and the Sun.
